How Schiphol Airport raised the passenger experience

Schiphol case study thumbnail - station in place

OneFlash is very proud to work with a partner as prestigious as Schiphol Airport. Together, we share a common vision: transforming the traveller experience through innovation. A long-term partnership with a single goal: the satisfaction of millions of passengers.

‍

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: + 4,000 users a month.

‍

The challenge: meeting strong charging demand within limited infrastructure

At Schiphol Airport, teams identified strong demand for phone charging, particularly in Hall B. However, the availability of charging options, including power sockets, was insufficient to meet all expectations. This shortage had a negative impact on passenger satisfaction and the overall experience at the airport.

Inge Lubbers, Passenger Experience Lead at Schiphol Airport, explains: "We have been running a pilot with OneFlash since July 2024. We have six S24 stations in Hall B, and passengers who have borrowed a power bank are very satisfied."

‍

The solution: a reliable partnership and ongoing collaboration

To solve this problem, the airport launched a 12-month trial with OneFlash, installing 6 stations of 24 power banks in Hall B. The choice of OneFlash was driven by the quality of the service, but also by close collaboration. Working with our contact, Noah, is very good. He is easy to reach, quick to respond and, step by step, we are improving the service for our passengers.

Although the service is not yet perfect, Schiphol's teams are working hand in hand with OneFlash to improve it continuously. For Inge Lubbers, "the good side is that we are working with OneFlash to improve the passenger experience and make passengers even more enthusiastic".

‍

The results: promising engagement indicators

After 8 months of trial, the first results are promising and speak for themselves:

  • Average usage: more than 4,000 users a month.
  • Average usage time: 45 minutes.
  • User NPS: 4.51/5.

These figures demonstrate the relevance of the service for passengers, and the satisfaction survey confirms the positive impact. 87% of respondents recommend the service as an improvement to the passenger experience.

In light of these results, Schiphol Airport is already considering a second phase of deployment, with 10 additional stations. For Inge Lubbers, the conclusion is clear: "We are convinced and we are going to scale up. That is a very good thing."

‍

🗣️ The customer's view: a visionary investment for the future of the traveller experience

Inge Lubbers concludes her testimonial by strongly recommending OneFlash: "If you are considering using power banks, then I would totally recommend OneFlash." A visionary investment for the future of the traveller experience, confirming OneFlash's position as a reliable partner and a key player in connected urban mobility.
